Dr. Heike Harmgart is heading EBRD’s activities in Jordan since the beginning of the Bank’s expansion to the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean Region. EBRD started investing in Jordan end of 2012 and has since then committed close USD 1bn in investments, over half in the energy sector with a special focus on renewables. She was previously covering the region as the Senior Economist in charge of the Macro Economic and Structural Economic Analysis. She has published in many peer reviewed journals including work on the impact of innovation and government policies on growth. Prior to joining the EBRD, Dr. Harmgart worked several years for the Economist Group, mainly on emerging markets in the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). She holds an Economics Master’s degree from Berlin's Humboldt University and a PhD in Economics from University College London (UCL).

Senior Vice President for Business Development in Scatec Solar ASA since 2009. Responsible for coordinating the company’s development of new markets, as well as  government relations and carbon and climate finance. Terje has a broad professional background including leadership roles in both business and public sector, entrepreneurship, management consulting and thought leadership. He started his career as a young political leader, and Chief Adviser to the Prime Minister. His industrial background includes managerial positions in Kvaerner ASA, Saga Petroleum ASA and Alcatel NV. Terje Osmundsen writes and speaks regularly on issues related to solar energy and sustainable development. Non-executive director polysilicon manufacturer REC Silicon and plastic-to-fuel company Quantafuel. Non-executive chairman Caritas Norway. Author of several books, most recently "2030 - bevegelsen"  (February 2017).

Tarek Zuriekat

Chief Executive Officer, Engicon

Mr. Tarek Zuriekat is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Engicon a leading multidisciplinary engineering firm in the MENA region with over 450 employees. Tarek completed a Bachelors degree in the University of Edinburgh in Business and Accounting.  In October 2002, he moved back to Jordan and joined Engicon.

Throughout his career at Engicon, Mr. Zuriekat pursued, managed and provided backstopping services for several key institutional development and performance-based service contacts in the field of water and wastewater. The success of these initiatives led to the establishment of Engicon O&M, Which is a subsidiary that focuses on providing comprehensive solution on the field of water and wastewater.
