Sevki Acuner

Director, Head of Ukraine, EBRD - Kiev

Sevki Acuner was appointed EBRD Director in Ukraine on 3 April 2013. He previously held the position of EBRD Deputy Country Director for Turkey. During his 21-year career at the EBRD, Mr. Acuner held senior management positions in the Credit Risk and Agribusiness departments before being appointed to Turkey in 2009. He started his new assignment on 1 June 2013. Prior to joining the EBRD, Sevki Acuner worked at the Central Bank of Turkey, the Bank of Montreal and the Royal Bank of Canada in various countries in North America and Europe. Mr. Acuner is a Turkish national and holds a BSc in Management from Bosporus University, Istanbul, and an MBA from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.

Oleg Churiy

Deputy Head, National Bank of Ukraine

Oleg Churiy has over 20 years' experience in banking, starting at International Payments Department of INKO Bank JSC. He held managing positions at several banking and financial institutions, including BNP-Dresdner Bank Ukraine and Bank Austria Creditanstalt Ukraina (since 2002 - Hypovereinsbank Ukraine JSC). Recent appointment included Head of Investment Business Department at Ukrsibbank (currently part of BNP Paribas Group) and Head of Fixed-Income Instruments at VTB Bank Ukraine. In 2014 he started his public service as Director of the Open Market Operations Department and currently Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine. He holds a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, major in Composite Powder Materials and Coverage, and Degree in Economics, Banking Management from Higher Bank School of International Institute for Market Economy and Enterprises of "Market" Centre. Oleg Churiy is a CFA Charterholder and member of CFA Society Ukraine.

Oleksandr Danylyuk

Minister of Finance, EBRD Governor, Ukraine

Oleksandr Danyliuk was appointed Minister of Finance in 2016, with the key objectives of promoting: a better investment climate in Ukraine, transparent rules of doing business for Ukrainian entrepreneurs and foreign investors and public finance reform. He joined public service in 2005 as economic advisor to the Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov, where he carried out privatization of state-owned enterprises, including Kryvorizhstal, Ukraine's largest integrated steel company. Mr. Danyliuk chaired the Economic Reforms Coordination Center Prior to that, he worked at McKinsey & Company London and Moscow. Between 2006 and 2010, he chaired the Rurik Investment fund operating in London and Luxembourg. He graduated from the National Technical University of Ukraine with a degree in electric engineering in 1998. He also studied at the Kyiv Institute of Investment Management (1995) and obtained an MBA from the Indiana University Kelly School of Business in 2001.

Alex Lissitsa

Executive Director, CEO, IMC

Dr. Alex Lissitsa is CEO of the Warsaw Stock Exchange listed Ukrainian agricultural company IMC and acts as President of the largest Ukrainian agribusiness association UCAB. IMC is top 7 agricultural producer in country operating 136,6 tsd ha farmland and having 550 tsd t of storage facilities in Central and North Ukraine. The company works together with EBRD (since 2016) and IFC (since 2013). Dr. Lissitsa advises also several Ukrainian policy makers in agricultural issues.  He obtained his PhD in agricultural economics in 2001 (Humbold-Universität zu Berlin, Germany). 

Francis Malige

MD, Eastern Europe & Caucasus, EBRD - Kiev

Francis Malige is the Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus for the EBRD. He is responsible for delivering the Bank's strategy in Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. This includes investment operations as well as policy dialogue to support the implementation of reforms. Mr Malige joined the EBRD in February 2010 as a Director in the Financial Institutions team, where he developed the Bank’s business in the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe, Turkey and in the southern and eastern Mediterranean. Before joining the EBRD, he was Managing Director for Corporate Development at BNP Paribas, focusing on bank acquisitions. His earlier career was in accounting and consulting, at Arthur Andersen and McKinsey & Company, where he served clients in industry, high tech, construction, financial services. Mr Malige is a graduate of ESCP Europe, a French business school. In addition to his native French, he is fluent in German, Italian and English.

Andrii Mitchenko

Chief Executive Officer, Ecosoft

Andrii Mitchenko was born in Kyiv, Ukraine on 23 January 1976.

In 1998 graduated the Faculty of Chemistry at Lomonosov Moscow State University with a major in biochemistry and enzymology and received Master’s degree in Chemistry. In 2003 did PhD in water chemistry and ecology from Kyiv Institute for Sorption and Problems of Endoecology. The PhD research dedicated to water purification methods which were lately used in development of water purification products by Ecosoft SPC LTD.

From 1998-2016  occupied different positions at Ecosoft SPC LTD resulted in development of the business which is a full-cycle international manufacturer of water treatment equipment.

From 2016 CEO of Ecosoft International Group focused on leadership in water purification manufacturing and distribution for household and commercial application.
