In 2006, Malek graduated from the University of Vienna with a masters degree in business informatics and highest honors having introduced the concept of 3 dimensional e-commerce in his thesis. He worked with the government to introduce Adobe workflow management systems to facilitate G2G and G2C services. He then worked as a consultant for RWE DEA transferring German IT standards to the Egyptian branch as well as the joint venture Suez Oil Company where he was able to streamline many business and IT processes. He later became the operational IT manager of DEA Egypt from 2013 – 2016 implementing many business IT solutions supporting multiple business processes.

Malek then recently decided to take on a new challenge of working for the ministry of investment and international cooperation as Advisor to the Minister in order to further contribute to his passion for Egypt.

Senior Vice President for Business Development in Scatec Solar ASA since 2009. Responsible for coordinating the company’s development of new markets, as well as  government relations and carbon and climate finance. Terje has a broad professional background including leadership roles in both business and public sector, entrepreneurship, management consulting and thought leadership. He started his career as a young political leader, and Chief Adviser to the Prime Minister. His industrial background includes managerial positions in Kvaerner ASA, Saga Petroleum ASA and Alcatel NV. Terje Osmundsen writes and speaks regularly on issues related to solar energy and sustainable development. Non-executive director polysilicon manufacturer REC Silicon and plastic-to-fuel company Quantafuel. Non-executive chairman Caritas Norway. Author of several books, most recently "2030 - bevegelsen"  (February 2017).
